Clarkson Valuations Ltd (CVL) is a subsidiary of Clarkson Research Services Limited (CRSL) and part of the Clarkson PLC Group, the world's largest supplier of ship broking services employing some 350 brokers and support staff in the UK and a further 350 overseas. The Clarkson Group was founded in 1852 and is publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange. A copy of the latest Report & Accounts is available on request. Clarkson Valuations Ltd (CVL) provides clients with market valuations as part of our daily business, covering the widest range of shipping markets.

In CRSL publications, we make our views on market prices widely known. For the majority of ship types, we have tracked the values over a period of time. CRSL also publish Registers which describe over 80,000 individual ships.

Valuations are generally provided in two forms, (i) a certificate signed by two authorised signatures of Clarkson Valuations Limited; (ii) portfolio valuation, giving the indicative value of a portfolio of ships on a specific date. The certificate will generally involve a higher degree of detailed due diligence work.
